Bio: Matt MacDonald is a professional meteorologist who lives in Nelson, B.C. with his wife and two young children. Previously working for Environment Canada’s Pacific Storm Prediction Centre in Vancouver, Matt was one of the creators of the Avalanche Canada Mountain Weather Forecaster. He now works as the lead forecaster for the BC Wildfire Service and continues to teach weather courses for the Canadian Avalanche Association. When not wrangling kids or staring at computer screens, he can be found sneaking in the odd soulful splitboard tour.
